| 説明 | Back in July I was lucky enough to be staying on Italy's Calabria coast at San Nicola Arcela. The station here on the Naples-Reggio Calabria main line is now closed, but was precariously perched above a deep river valley between two long tunnels. In fact the gap between the portals is so small that the platforms extend inside the Northern tunnel! The live was extensively rebuilt and electrified in the 1930s and traces of the old route - and it's tunnels - can still be see on the coastward side of the new double track. |
