| 説明 | I was so surprised how eager people were to write down things they wanted to say goodbye to in 2004. We wrote them down and then tossed them into the fire.I heard about this tradition through SweetdogK and Andrea Scher -- write what you want to say goodbye to on a piece of paper and then ceremoniously toss it into fire.At about seven minutes til midnight I broached the subject with my fellow revelers... would anyone be interested in doing this? I really didn't expect anyone to want to... I was amazed: It was a resounding YES! from everybody. So we quickly got out paper and crayons (heh) and began to write while Yardsale Dan ran out to make a fire. Making the fire was tougher than it sounds as it has been raining here for five days straight. Buckets of rain. All of the firewood was wet. But he made it happen anyway.Great tradition -- I highly recommend it. |
