| 説明 | On June 14th, 2016 Ambassador Dan Shapiro and Ms. Julie Fisher hosted the US Embassy’s annual shared society and interfaith Iftar welcoming leaders from all faiths and diverse Arab and Jewish communities in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan. With a message of partnership and tolerance, religious and community leaders, educators and youth groups, along with Egyptian and Jordanian friends, all gathered to dine for a Tuesday evening Iftar meal at Ambassador’s residence in Herzliya Pituach . Ambassador Shapiro also awarded Certificates of Excellence to a group of Arab high school students graduates of the 2016 US Government English Access Micro-scholarship program in recognition to their hard work and successful achievements, and met with an ambitious group of the MEPI Students Leaders Alumni involved in various social initiatives contributing to their local communities. Guests enjoyed views of the setting sun over the Mediterranean sea while prayers chanted, remarks given, and a beautiful Arabic music played by Beit Al Musical young musicians ensemble. |
