| 説明 | Curiosity rover acquired the above image on June 13, 2016 (Sol 1369) on Naukluft Plateau, Gale Crater, Mars. Photo shows a portion of a pile of sample that has been drilled out of "Oudam" rock and then dumped onto ground for observation before sieving. All the red arrows point to spherical ooids. The ooids are smaller than 1 mm in diameter. Ooids on Earth are formed by microbes.
