| 説明 | Today was my mother's 96th. birthday so we spent the day in Malahide. We had an excellent meal at the Geisha Restaurant and then we visited Malahide Castle.Malahide Castle and the botanical gardens in the demesne underwent a major transformation in 2011-2012. The castle closed to visitors during October 2011, and reopened in autumn 2012. A new single brand for the site and an upgrade of the interpretation and facilities means that visitors are now used to generate a single experience that brings together the Castle, Gardens and Village of Malahide.The project involves revitalising the visitor offer in the castle and gardens and creating new audio tours and exhibitions on the gardens and castle and new retail/leisure facilities whilst conserving the heritage of the 800-year-old site. Links to Malahide village and the local community are an important consideration of the project. New signage linking the site with the village has been designed to encourage visitors to spend the whole day in Malahide enjoying the village, marina, restaurants and shops |
