説明 | Buick was General Motors' upmarket car, second only to Cadillac. From 1936, models were given a name. The 1936 Buick’s body was more rounded and had a bull nose grille, only two straight 8s available.The ‘Special’ 118 inch wheelbase Series 40; 93hp 233 cu in; 2 door Business, Sport or Victoria Coupes, Convertible and SedanThe ‘Century’ 122 inch wheelbase Series 60; 120hp 320cu in; 2 door Sport or Victoria Coupes, Convertible and Sedan.The ‘Roadmaster’ 131 inch wheelbase Series 80; 120hp 320 cu in, in Phaeton or Sedan. The ‘Limited’ 138 inch wheelbase Series 90; 120hp 320 cu in; Formal Sedan or Trunk SedanBuicks were also produced in Australia by General Motors Holden. Local built bodies were added to an imported chassis and mechanicals. In 1936, a 40 Series Sedan and Coupe and 60 Series Sedan were produced, varying from US models; a traditional wooden framed body with fabric roof insert and front doors hinged from the centre pillar. |
