説明 | We are developing a public makerspace in Tam High School’s state-of-the-art woodshop, to make things together and grow a community of makers, students and teachers in South Marin. This week, I learned from Geo how to make a ‘mortise and tenon' joint for the mobile cart I am building in his ‘You Can Build It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the City of the Future that our middle school students are building together in our ‘maker art’ classes. Other workshop participants are making good progress as well, such as the beautiful wood table shown here. Geo also showed off some of the 3D objects his high school students are making for ‘Maker Field’, their animatronic city powered with Arduino. These projects are good examples of what we could support with more maker programs for adults and teens in our new makerspace at Tam High. More on this later.View more photos of our Tam High makerspace: www.flickr.com/photos/fabola/albums/72157660433218276Learn more about our City of the Future course: fabriceflorin.com/2016/02/23/city-of-the-future/Learn more about Geo's technical courses at Tam High: www.marinlearn.com/index.cfm?method=ClassListing.ClassLis...Learn about the ‘mortise and tenon’ joint:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortise_and_tenon |
