| 説明 | Taken recently on a visit to the CBD, I must confess not seeing the plant origianlly on my LCD, but was pleasently surprised to see it on screen when I opened up the file on my machine at home. This is one of several shots I took, the others were verticals that included some of the street level trees, with 2 different exposure settings. Once I realised though that this shot had the splash of green I went with it. Lightly sharpened the "Lightness Channel" did some contrast adjusmtents, i.e Levels>adjust, then added a soft light layer and did some "burning & dodging" on the extreme highlights and the shadows.If I was to reshoot I'd go back later in the afternoon, to catch better light (the building faces west) and watch my exposure a bit more to try and keep some detail in the sky.This kind of lighting can be torture of course. Sadly as my good friend Dick often comments, Dick is from the United States of America you see. The light in Australia is really harsh and it is often pure torture to expose and process the resulting images well, after a days shooting in the outdoors. This tortures Dick.
