Taken this morning, a crisp, clear (but cold) March morning,situated within the City of Inverness, the Ferry Pier affords a view eastwards to Kessock Road Bridge and the Moray Firth/North Sea beyond, westwards up to the entrance to the Caledonian Canal and to the source of the Firth (River Beauly) and its guardian mountains behind, and directly opposite stands the village of North Kessock on the "Black Isle" of Ross and Cromarty.Since the Bridge opened i 1983, rendering the ferry obsolete, North Kessock is now considered a suburb of the City of Inverness, |
