| 説明 | I rescued this fruit fly from the compost bin. Its wings seem more or less stuck in that position and I'm not sure if it can fly. After it warmed up a bit it took a feed of sweetened water. The fly is perched on the nectar-dampened tissue in this photo. Although you can't see them in this shot, the fly has a row of black stumpy spines on its front femurs showing it to be a Drosophila immigrans. I'm not sure why it has its back leg in that position. I've never thought of flies having an itch before, but this one appears to be scratching its lower back!HBBBT! |
