Most members of the Gastropoda are marine. Most marine snails are herbivores (algae grazers) or predators/carnivores.The queen conch, Strombus gigas, is a large gastropod that occupies shallow-water to moderately shallow-water seagrass beds, sandy seafloors, and rubbly seafloors.
