The Alexanders Company was going out of business and carried the Star brand of shoes. One Follett brother was a farmer and the other a operated a stationery and confectionery store prior to going into the shoe business together. By 1907, the brothers' business was carrying over four thousand dollars in shoe inventory.Stetson's Uncle Tom's Cabin Company was a traveling blackface minstrel company that presented Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin.In 1893, Geiger and Gesellche were the owners of the Star Saloon; Gesellche later became the sole proprietor of the establishment.Copyright 2016.
