説明 | The map shows the European Dirty Thirty – the power plants with the highest absolute CO2 emissions in the EU. Nine of them – eight lignite plants and one coal-fired – are located in Germany.A recent study by the Oeko-Institut shows that power generation from coal and lignite increased in 2013 compared with the previous year, largely because emissions trading is currently failing to have the necessary deterrent effect.Further information on the present status of coal-to-power in Germany is provided in the Oeko-Institut’s study on CO2 emissions from German coal-fired power plants, entitled CO2-Emissionen aus der Kohleverstromung in Deutschland. www.oeko.de/oekodoc/1995/2014-015-de.pdf |
