| 説明 | "Hi Folks: Home at last is ‘Suzie,’ a 27-month-old Vietnamese girl who underwent open heart surgery at the Orange County Children’s Hospital, California. Looking in on this happy reunion of ‘Suzie’ and her family are two of the men of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing [1st MAW] who made her operation possible. Navy Lieutenant Bruce Schumacher (left), the 1st MAW chaplain who got the little girl’s mother a place to live in California, and Navy Lieutenant Douglas Henning, a 1st MAW physician who made arrangements for the actual operation in Suzie’s heart. Now with her newly repaired heart Suzie can at last lead a normal and full life, thanks to the ‘heart’ of the men of the 1st Marine Air Wing (official USMC photo by Sergeant S. L.
