説明 | The good doctors at Pataphysical Studios decompressed in style from a month-long exhibit at the Mill Valley Library. We started the afternoon with a discussion of what we learned from that experiment — and planned our next steps for the Pataphysical Slot Machine. We are looking for a long-term venue for this unique art exhibit and our maker workshops. Suggestions welcome at info-at-pataphysics-dot-us . We spent the rest of the day creating ‘Pataphysical Talismans' to thank all the folks who worked on last month’s exhibit or contribute to our creative network. These talismans are in the shape of a question mark, and inspired by the Nepali number "1", which represents the unity of all things. This symbol appears below the Buddha’s all-seeing eyes in stupa temples throughout Nepal. The Pataphysical Talismans can be worn as a necklace or broach, used as ornaments for your home — or for your art. This design was created by Freddy Hahne (a.k.. Dr. Really) and manufactured by Fabrice Florin (a.k.a. Dr. Fabio), using Tam High’s laser cutter. We have been gathering at the studio on Saturdays to paint them — and decorate them with jewels from Dr. Canard’s treasure trove. Making art together on outdoor tables is my favorite activity at the Pataphysical Studios. Our conversations are always interesting and the birds all around us treat us with melodious tweets.View more talisman photos: www.flickr.com/photos/fabola/albums/72157658657352283Learn more about our exhibit: pataphysics.us/join-the-unveiling-of-the-slot-machine |
