| 説明 | ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 17, 2015) Capt. Brian J. Quin, the new commanding officer of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), communicates with outgoing commanding officer Capt. Peter M. Mantz during an aerial lead change ceremony aboard an MH-60S from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 21 (HSC 21), also known as the ‘Blackjacks’. Essex is the flagship of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
