説明 | CAMP ZAMA, Japan - Soldiers, families and friends gathered at the foyer at U.S. Army Japan & I Corps (Forward) Headquarters in Camp Zama, Japan, to honor a man who reached a major milestone in his military career. Army Master Sgt. Danny Davis, a career counselor for U.S. Army Japan, officially received this coveted rank when his wife, Kimberly, tore off her husband's sergeant first class insignia and replaced it with the three chevrons and three arcs (more commonly called "rockers" for their curved shape) denoting the skill and experience that often corresponds to one of the more senior noncommissioned officers ranks in the Army. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Eric C. Dostie, command sergeant major, U.S. Army Japan, conducted the Oct. 2, 2015, ceremony attended by Davis' friends and loved ones as well as many Soldiers and Department of Defense civilians that have worked directly with Davis to include Army Maj. Gen. James Pasquarette, commanding general, U.S. Army Japan. Davis plans to continue to serve in the Army to help Soldiers align their personal goals with the needs in the Army. Photos by Sgt. John L. Carkeet IV, U.S. Army Japan |
