説明 | The first test image properly demosaicked from a Fuji EXR super-resolution sensor. All photos I had previously made with this camera used only one-half of the sensor area because nobody knows how to demosaic the EXR and Fuji does not release the algorithm. The sensor contains two interleaved Bayer patterns whose readings can be combined in various ways. One of the ways is to use all pixels for making high-resolution images.I kept getting bounced off this project during more than a year; in the meantime, Frank Markesteijn offered a patch to dcraw that does the job, but just about. It produces huge levels of chroma noise (the sensor is to blame, but the decoder should be able to cope). My solution is based on the non-local means filter proposed by Antoni Buades. My adaptation of it to the EXR pattern is not great, but it works better than Frank's patch and better than Fuji's in-camera JPEG (although not beter than SilkyPix, their proprietary raw decoder). There is room for improvement.Source: 141109_121721.RAF |
