| 説明 | I've taken a similar snap before but in a comparatively measly English forestry plantation , where the pines were substantial shorter and less impressive. In this area, the older Douglas firs mix with younger Red Cedars, Western Hemlocks and a host of others that grow to fill the gaps when an old giant is blown over.It isn't just the trees in these areas that I love, it is the whole temperate rainforest thing. The sheer breadth and profusion of ferns, mosses, fungi and so on.I once spent some time with a botanist friend in a number of similar locations on the west coast of New Zealand's South Island and his enthusiasm for epiphytes and bryophytes seems to have rubbed off a little.
