Kurdish people live in and form a majority in south eastern Turkey, Northern Iraq, Northern Syria, and western Iran.The Kurdish militias have been a progressive force in the region, and are in conflict with Islamic State. Turkey has abrogated a ceasfire against the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK), and has launched military attacks against Kurdish fighters and people, and arrests within Turkey. Australia has played politics by supporting the Turkish Government in listing the PKK as a terrorist organisation, while there is no threat to Australia.This rally was held in Federation Square Saturday 29 August 2015"Turkish state deliberately targeting Kurds and assisting ISIL" Solicitor:"The PKK and YPG are our de facto allies against Islamic State, So why is Australian Government listing PKK as a terrorist organisation?"
