| 説明 | "Well here it is, the final week of my eleven week long internship. To say it was anything less than enjoyable, perfect and full of adventure would be selling it short. There was not a day I woke up at six in the morning and dreaded going to work until I could no longer in the hot summer sun. There was not a night I did not go to bed feeling like I had accomplished something and made a positive impact on the landscape here in southern New Mexico. At the beginning of my internship I was given a piece of paper that simply asked me to write down my goals for the summer and what I hoped to accomplish upon completion of the internship. My main goal was to positively impact the wildlife and their habitat here in the Las Cruces district of the BLM and I feel as though I have done that many more ways than one. Long days and hours were spent to ultimately protect and supplement wildlife in this area and I could not be more thankful for all of the opportunities I had to put hard work in to the many projects. This summer I was given a tremendous window of opportunity to showcase my skills and I do not think I could have been given a better job to do so. I am exceptionally thankful for the BLM direct hire program and incredibly happy that I was given this chance. I took this job to further my skills in wildlife sure, but ultimately I took it as a chance to help wildlife and their surrounding landscapes.
