| 説明 | A linoleum cut of both front and backside of a dead mouse, based on avlxyz's flickr post.While trying to produce two-sided printed paper bookmarks, I had the hardest time getting the front and back to line up - about 30% worked out. (You can see my feeble attempts at adding registration marks after the fact in the lines pointing towards the mouse.) Note to self, think about registration earlier next time. Another problem that the transparent plastic version doesn't suffer from.(Other problems: the print that I used is water-soluble. D'oh! That means that once I tried to color in the mice, the print dissolved. Three layers of workable fixative later, it still dissolves. Two more layers of a different fixative, it no longer dissolves, but now the paint doesn't stick. It's a mess. You don't want to put it into books, basically.)Even though I knew I wanted a dead mouse, and I have no trouble eating meat, going through the flickr search results for "dead mouse" was heart wrenching, as was translating that little dead creature into this rather cartoonish shape. |
