説明 | This art-piece (painted in cloth) which would serve as wall-decoration was displayed in "Life Style" exhibition held in Madurai some time back.This picture depicts a great and pivotal scene of the Kurukshetra War in the Epic,"the Mahabharata".written by Sage Vyasa.The warring cousins,the five Pandavas and the hundred Kauravas are nephews of Lord Krishna who seek His help in the war.The Kauravas demanded and secured Krishna's army for assistance whereas the Pandavas requested for His presence with them during the war.In the story the Pandavas win the war not only by their valour but also as they have the moral support,guidance and strategies given by Lord Krishna.'partha' is another name for Arjuna one of the pandavas and 'sarathy' means driver of chariot.
