説明 | Moss Vale was carved out of Charles Throsby estate. Originally the district was named Sutton Forest and an early Anglican Church was erected there. But the current town of Moss Vale was created when the railway came through in 1868. It was named after one of Charles Throsby’s workers, Jemmy Moss. The town mainly grew in the 1890s with the Town Hall not being built until 1891. In the 1890s the surrounding districts turned to dairy farming as well as beef cattle. |
