| 説明 | Native, warm-season, perennial, sparse herb; 10-40 cm tall and with many slender, wiry, branched stems. Leaves are linear, 5-10 cm long and few in number; mainly at the base of the plant. Flowers occur in groups of 2-10 and have 6 narrow yellow tepals and hair tufts on the stamen’s stalk. When each flower is finished, the tepals twist together into a tight spiral. Flowering is from spring to summer. Found in heathlands, grasslands, woodlands and forests. Native biodiversity. Although eaten by stock it is of little importance as a feed source, as it is stemmy, only occurs as scattered plants within pastures and declines with increasing grazing pressure. |
