| 説明 | Gus Amadeo was wanted in the death of Chicago Police Detective Charles Annerino in 1954. Legendary police Lieutentant Frank Pape tracked Amadeo and pressured his girlfriend Dolores to help set up a trap for the cop killer. Gus watched a a movie here at the Calo Theatre and then went to meet Dolores at a nearby drug store. On his way to meet her, Gus was ambushed and killed by Pape and his men who were concealed nearby in ordinary vehicles and plain clothes.The Calo opened in 1915 for the Ascher Brothers theatre chain.Located at 5404 N.
