| 説明 | Members of the 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, were treated to a visit by retired Marine Maj. Hal Campbell, July 2, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, where he talked about his career that spanned three wars that included World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Campbell fought in battles such as Guadalcanal as a member of the 2nd Raiders Battalion, as well as at Iwo Jima, Tarawa, Saipan and Korea. During his time in service, he was awarded the Navy Cross, the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, four Purple Hearts and a Naval Letter of Commendation. (Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
