説明 | Tall building was then called Bellingham Hotel. Mostly a residential hotel back then. Now offices.Triangle building was then B&B Furniture. It had a water tower on top. Now offices with water tower (not shown in picture) removed.Large brick building is still Mount Baker Apartments.Radio Museum occupies buildings at the right. Now called Spark Museum of Radio and Electricity.I would notice the street lights. Back then, they were boxy looking fixtures holding 4 fluorescent lightbulbs. A rare form of streetlight that was used in a few downtown areas. I remember first seeing that style of streetlight when we visited my aunt and uncle who lived in Corvallis, Oregon. Maybe the only other place I'd seen them.Fixtures later replaced with sodium vapor (yellowish) streetlights and now white LED.See this skyline in 2020. |
