| 説明 | Engineering works on 9th May between Swindon and Reading meant that trains between South Wales and London Paddington were being diverted. Trains from the west reversed at Swindon, and then called at Chippenham, before travelling non-stop via Melksham, Trowbridge, and then joining the Berks and Hants Line just to the east of Westbury, heading west to Reading. This wasn't a diversionary route I'd ever travelled (in its entirety) before. In this picture a Swansea-London Paddington service is seen approaching East Loop Junction near Westbury. In the background can be seen the Westbury White Horse. |
