Container says " Japan, Ota, Nakashima Airplane Plant, Etc., 1945"From Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakajima_Aircraft_CompanyThis is the Nakajima Aircraft Company factory at Ota, Japan. It was critically damaged by American bombardment on February 10, 1945. Currently it is part of the Fuji Heavy Industries. These look like A6M Zero Fighters but the Zero was made by Mitsubishi. Photos seem to have been taken about 10 months after the factory was bombed and a few months after the war ended. |
