| 説明 | In Presidential Suite 35A, May 23, 2015.The Waldorf Astoria's Historic Tour does not normally include a stop inside The Presidential Suite (35A) but since we were staying in the suite we invited our tour group in to see it. Every president since 1931 has stayed in the suite, and it is where the current president Barack Obama normally stays when he is in New York City because the hotel's security is superior to other locations.The rocking chair you see in this photo was owned by President John F. Kennedy and given to the hotel in 1962 for the Presidential Suite. The suite also includes personal items donated by many other presidents, including Eisenhower (the desk in the corner) and Reagan. The master bedroom also has General Douglas Macarthur's desk. Our tour guide Barbara is seated at left. Others in the group include Aimee Fried, Ann Marie Sabath and Allan Schiller. |
