| 説明 | Currently the Sciacca Carnival starts on Thursday before Lent with the symbolic key of the city to the king of Carnival Peppe Nappa , who also closes the festival when the float of Peppe Nappa is burned in the square. Unfortunately a major rainstorm prevented Carnevale Tuesday from taking place on February 17 2015. Peppe Nappa as a Commedia dell'arte character is known for his mocking, lazy but capable of unexpected jumps and acrobatic dancing, greedy and insatiable, usually he plays the role of the servant in the plots. He loves being in the kitchen, or buzzing around the kitchen, sniffing delighted perfumes, and the food is his passion.
