| 説明 | A Bombadier CRJ-200 (formally known as a CL-600-2B19...) of United Express (probably operated by Skywest Airlines...) about to touchdown on Runway 28L at San Francisco International Airport. (SFO) This landing is quite "long" in that a heavier aircraft (a 757 for example...) would have all the gear on the ground by this point, and this one is still in the air! Taken by a Nikon D610 at ISO 400 with a Sigma 150-500mm ƒ 5-6.3 APO DG OS lens. (at 508)Of course, the runways 28 are used to land (virtually) everything at SFO, from little spit kits like the Embraer Brasilia 120 to the Airbus A380... Only when there is a stiff wind out of the North (which is quite unusual...) do planes land on the runways 1. (partly because the approach to runways 1 is over residential neighborhoods!) Smaller planes, I.E. regional jets and turboprops, (I've noticed...) do tend to land farther down the runways 28, simply so they can be across the crossing runways 1 sooner... |
