説明 | A hazy shot of Roman Miletus, built in 50 AD by Emperor Tiberius Claudius Sophanes, here you can see the ruins of the remains of the partially restored temple of Apollo Delphinios on the left and the Ionic Stoa and Agora of Miletus to the right. This impressive structure had thirty five Ionic columns in front of nineteen shops and overlooked the Sacred Way, a 100 metre long road which led from Athens to Eleusis. The area is now a marshy flood plain and the wetlands behind resonate with bird chatter. |
