Bust by R.J.Emerson. Ashlar with bronze bust and plaques. Battered square plinth and stele have projections to sides with inscriptions to tops and caps with undulating lines; bust of sailor has cap band of H.M.S. Admirable; plaque to front has inscription recording heroic death of Harris and relief shows him slumped in ship's wireless room; plaque to rear has inscription in Italian. Able Seaman Harris was killed in the Adriatic Sea while remaining at his post in the wireless room on the crippled drifter Floandi.
