| 説明 | Going north from the bathrooms in Pixley Falls (NY) State Park on the Ogdensburg, Clayton, and Rome railbed, I found this culvert underneath the railroad. It's been abandoned before it was even completed, in 1868, with no maintenance, no section gang, nobody looking after it. And it still carries water underneath the railbed. The uphill side is pretty well defined, but the downhill side has collapsed. It's still carrying water nonethelessI found two streams cutting through the railbed. I didn't see any sign of rocks, but I guess that they also had culverts, and those culverts failed. |
