He was one of three Soldiers from his unit participating in MEDRETE 15-1, a U.S. Africa Command directed, U.S. Army Africa led event that featured Soldiers from the William Beaumont Army Medical Center Fort Bliss, Texas, who partnered with Burundi National Defense Force civilian doctors and medical support staff on trauma resuscitation, emergency room procedures and evaluations, Jan. 19-30.
