説明 | BMC introduced new style of car in 1963, they followed the configuration of the BMC Mini with front wheel drive and east/west engine. The smaller car was the ADO16 1100/1300 and the larger car was the ADO17 1800/2200.The 1972 Mk III had a six cyl option, the Austin or Morris 2200 and the Wolseley Six. These cars were also built in Australia and New Zealand and In 1970, were developed into the Australian Austin X6 range, a slightly larger six cyl car, the Austin Tasman (Morris badged in New Zealand) and upmarket Austin Kimberley. They were still front wheel drive and the engine was still transversely, but the larger six cylinder car was thought to compete better with other Australian built cars. Engine; 2200cc 6 cyl (the single headlight Tasman had a single Carby whereas the twin headlight Kimberley had 2 carbys) |
