| 説明 | A special shuttle train of Südostbahn on the 125 km long route between St. Gallen and Luzern with touristic meaning. But classified as normal train without additional fee. The railway line between Uznach and Schmerikon is considered overdue for a renewal. The rails are already 45 years old, and without much maintenance effort there is a safety risk. It was planned by SBB to renew the route this year. Now the renovation was postponed for financial reasons to 2018/19. It caused a disagreement and they have agreed now, at that time to expand on double track. I looked it, but by the naked eye the wear on the rails and the poor condition of the track is not obviously discernible. Switzerland, Feb 20, 2015. |
