| 説明 | Seven stone carved representations of rare Welsh plants, set into a lawn, reminds us of the need to respect, protect and conserve our precious plant heritage. The Garden has carried out DNA research to aid the conservation of each of these plants. Part of the Barcode Sculpture Exhibition by Sculpture Cymru at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.At the National Botanic Garden of Wales we have DNA barcoded of all Wales’ flowering plants and conifers – we’re the first country in the world to do this. Nine artists from Sculpture Cymru (sculpturecymru.org.uk) have created a response to this research. Their outdoor exhibition runs from January to September 2015 throughout the Garden.A catalogue will be available in March 2015 and a Sculpture Weekend will be held on June 6-7 2015. |
