| 説明 | The d'Arcy Spice apple tree which we brought from Pikers Lane had never grown very well. However in the new garden it has really flourished. It was laden with blossom last spring and produced many apples. They would have probably grown bigger if they had been thinned out - however we left them. The apples were picked in November and should then be stored until after Christmas before eating. I have detailed instructions from a resident of Tolleshunt d'Arcy (my Grandmother's village in Essex), where they originate, so know this is correct!! Today we tasted the first - delicious, quite unusual and very flavoursome. We will now see if further storing matures them to something even more yummy. |
