| 説明 | Seen here on former JPT route 118 on the North Manchester/Tameside/Stockport services side of Piccadilly Gardens (access to the actual terminus, which is across the Gardens on my right, is not so easy. Manchester City Centre doesn't really have a dedicatedly built bus station, apart from Shudehill for certain North Manchester services, so stops are usually dotted around the place) is ALX400 MAN 18.220LF 22223, which works from Middleton depot, where much ex-JPT work have transferred to, before then Stockport (and possibly also then Ashton).The tagline on the back is "Clean, green, convenient, accessible... This is the new generation in bus travel". Whilst this may apply to recently-acquired Middleton (ex-Bluebird) depot(!), there are certainly much newer vehicles MUCH 'greener' (hybrids, new Enviro400 MMCs) than this 15-year-old one in the fleet!To the left of this bus is a series (one out of shot) of much younger ADL Enviro400's. Seen in this shot is one on the 76 (which is branded for) and another just departing on the 216. |
