説明 | Cimiez | Boulevard de CimiezLocated on a large lot at the bottom of Cimiez neighborhood, Villa Paradisio was built around 1900 by architect Constantin Scala commissioned by the Baroness Hélène de Zuylen Nyevelt Haar.During World War II, the building hosted the winners of the Prix de Rome because the Villa Medicis in Rome was confiscated to France by Mussolini.After 1941 the villa became the seat of the Nice Conservatory of Music, and remained so until 2006, when the institution moved into a new complex built on the Avenue Brancolar.The Villa Paradisio now hosts the Central Directorate of Education of the City of Nice. |
