| 説明 | ARABIAN GULF (Dec. 13, 2014) - Sailors assigned to amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) prepare to embark the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Baranof (WPB 1318) to conduct visit, board, search and seizure(VBSS) training during Exercise Red Reef 15. Red Reef is part of a routine biennial, bilateral exercise focused on increasing the tactical proficiency of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and Royal Saudi Naval Forces. San Diego is part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime and theater security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
