| 説明 | (Buteo lagopus)-rough-legged hawk,white tail with dark band or bands helps to identify this hawk in all plumages;bill small.thin legs are feathered to the toes,the feathering barred in adults,unbarred in juveniles. ADULT MALE has multi banded tail with a broad blackish subterminal band.DARK MORPH is less numerous.often hovers while hunting.with delicate legs,often perches on thin branches, unlike other buteos.RANGE:numbers from more southerly part of regular winter range vary from year to year,but in general,they are declining;this may indicate that rough-legged are now wintering farther north.casual to the southeast and to coastal southern CA.a bird of the open country,also seen in marshes in winter. |
