It could seat more than 23,000 spectators for gladiator events and other spectacles.The statue is that of Christian Montcouquiol. Nimeno, as he was called, was born in Germany and became a legend in the bullfighting sport.On September 10, 1989 in Arles, Nimeño II was seriously injured. He committed suicide two years later. |
