説明 | Minneapolis MinnesotaDecember 4, 2014This protest and march was in response to several unarmed people of color being killed by law enforcement in the United States recently and the subsequent lack of charges or punishment for the police involved. The most recent was Eric Garner who was wrestled to the sidewalk and held by the neck until until he was dead as he said, "I can't breathe". On the day before this event, it was announced the police would not be indicted on any criminal charges in that case. After the Lake Street exit, the next exit before downtown was interstate 94. The police seemed determined to not allow the march on another highway. A few police cars moved ahead at a high rate of speed to block the exit to I-94. The protesters paused on the bridge over I-94 but continued to the downtown exit and marched to Minneapolis city hall.Common chants:Black lives matterNo justice. No peace.2014-12-04 This is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License. Give attribution to: Fibonacci Blue |
