| 説明 | A bottle of Jul from Færder Mikrobryggeri in Tønsberg, Norway.Færder Jul is a 4.5% abv seasonal beer brewed for Christmas with spices, molasses, spruce syrup and hopped with Aurora and Saaz.This particular bottle was from batch 5A, probably brewed in the first half of September 2014, a week or two after the micro brewery commenced brewing, so it was about two months old when I tasted it.The beer poured a deep reddish amber color, only slightly hazy, with a large beige head. It had an intriguing smell of fresh spruce with some underlying spice notes. Mouthfeel, however, left a lot to be desired as it felt both thin and watery. I didn't get much of the spruce in the flavor either, but more of sour red berries - like a watered down juice. Overall not very good, despite the nice aroma. |
