| 説明 | A cluster of tombs and sarcophagi in the necropolis in the Heiropolis ancient city at Pamukkale, Turkey. No human remains there, after all the souls in there were buried over 19 centuries ago! Many of the buildings are inaccessible due to too much rubble or stone slabs coming in the way. Some have also been cordoned off, possibly due to ongoing restoration work. We didn't spot any restoration teams at work though. (Denizli/ Pamukkale, Turkey, Nov. 2014) |
