| 説明 | VILNIUS, Lithuania – U.S. Cavalry soldiers joined their Lithuanian allies to honor the 95th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Lithuanian Armed Forces in a parade and ceremony in Independence Square, Vilnius, Nov. 23. Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Minister of National Defense Juozas Olekas and Chief of Defense Lt. Gen. Arvydas Pocius spoke to the formations of Lithuanian land, air, navy and special operations forces, as well as the Danish, Hungarian and U.S. Soldiers participating in the ceremony. U.S. Soldiers from B Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and from C Troop, 1st Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, are in Lithuania as part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Atlantic Resolve, a multinational combined arms exercise involving the 1st BCT and host nations, taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and to demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
